Orkney is a place Jimmy and I both love. So much so we return every year and have done for the past 17 years!! It's a magical place, rolling hills, rugged cliffs, crashing waves, sandy beaches and saturated in wonderful history. From a photography point of view it has endless opportunities, one of the reasons we return every year.
On our trips to Orkney we always stay at the Merkister Hotel on the edge of Loch Harray. The Merkister is like home from home, great friendly service, good food and very comfortable. This year the Merkister agreed to have some of my Orkney photographs displayed in the hotel and rooms.
