February started with rain and forgot to stop all month....well perhaps the very odd appearance of that yellow thing in the sky !!
I think everyone was a bit disgruntled. They say Highlanders always talk weather and yes I think that was very true this month !!
When possible, which wasn't often, my camera did leave the bag !! Not for the lack of trying of course just high winds lashing rain made it difficult to keep the tripod still and keep the rain from the lens element!
This photograph looking down Loch Ness from Dores was a challenge ! It was a squally shower day with a ferocious wind so I patiently sat and waited for the rain to rest before taking this shot. I had to keep the tripod low, weigh it down with my bag and also hold it in place !! It was wild !!
We managed a few trips to Loch Garten. Hubby was photographing the crested tits there and there was a degree of shelter in the woodland.
Towards the end of the month we had a good day out with staff from Ffordes Photographic scouting for workshop locations. We went to Littleferry and Strath Brora and were blessed in between the wind and rain with some nice but bitterly cold sunny spells.
March is just about upon us so fingers crossed for a bit of springlike weather and a few photo excursions !!
