July is here already. We are now half way through what has been a very difficult year and one that none of us ever imagined would change our lives so dramatically.
The weather continues to be fair which is good as we can now meet family and friends outdoors. It’s so good to see my daughter and granddaughter regularly again.
Hairdresser’s are allowed to return to work so I was delighted to have shall I say a “hair repair” ! After 3 months of snipping my own a proper hair cut was needed.
Now we’re allowed to travel I have been delighted to venture further again. Staying safe of course.
I have visited a few places I’ve never been but always meant to. First being Reelig Glen at Moniack by Beauly. It’s a lovely walk , beautiful trees and a tumbling burn , very photogenic as the light glimmers through the canopy of the forest. I have returned a few times taking several pleasing images. I find forest and woodland photography quite challenging, it can be tricky in very bright light.
I have also been busy preparing and selling my images. All of the places I have my work for sale have reopened and online sales have been very good.
A fabulous new store in Brora called “KELPIES TREASURE” contacted me before lockdown to ask if I’d be interested in selling my work with them. Unfortunately due to COVID there was a delay in their opening but it opened late this month and is fabulous.
If you’re in or passing Brora call in. It’s on the Main Street and painted purple....you can’t miss it ! It really is a treasure trove of beautiful things.
We have a few other places on our places to visit list....next month.
The month ends nice and warm with lashings of sunshine. All good for the mind body and soul.
Until then stay safe everyone and keep vigilant ......till next month.....
