Summer Warmth Continues..

September has been a busy month and the weather is surprisingly warm for the time of year...still summery in fact !! which has been great. The light has changed and sunrises are not quite as early now so not such a chore to get out of bed at dawn !
I have had a few dawn trips, a fantastic time of day watching the dawn light emerge through the darkness. There were some great misty conditions in Glencassley with a pink blush in the sky so I got some nice shots there apart from fighting off the dreaded midges which are still in abundance !
Had a few good dawn shoots at Wyvis and the Pink House too. Photographs are in my LANDSCAPE gallery.
Much as I love the landscape vista's I also love forests and woodlands so I've been scouting some new places this month preparing for Autumn when it arrives next month.
It's important sometimes to go out and walk and look for some locations for future photo shoots. I like to semi prepare. I have found some new very nice places not too far from home which hopefully will yield some great autumnal colours.
One of my walks was Balblair Forest near Golspie. Beautiful woodland with some great tree's dotted here and there. I took a shot here...see pic...in black and white on a rainy grey day but I can see the potential when Autumn colours arrive.
The images I donated to the Highland Hospice for their Christmas Cards are now printed and in the Hospice Stores for sale. Hopefully they do well, it is such a worthy cause.
Later this month we had a wee holiday at Rannoch. A place of wild remote beauty, always inspiring and always new locations to find. We had some good sunsets so spent a few nights at the edge of the Loch watching darkness descend over the calm waters.
I'm still enjoying my new lens !! In fact.... I love it !
Canvas , print and card sales have been very good this month. A big thank you to all who have purchased.
I have put a last order date on the home page of 17th DECEMBER 2021 for Christmas Orders just to make sure they have time to arrive for Christmas.

"Moody Tree" Balblair Forest, Golspie

Until next month....
Stay safe and well
